Testimonials

It was a great visit. I hope you are terribly proud of that school. We saw the SABIS® educational system working on all cylinders... In the rooms we visited, across the grades, we saw consistently strong instruction delivered by able teachers who are deeply committed to the SABIS® methods, to the school, and to each other. We also saw perfect behavior throughout the day. We were amazed by the longevity of teachers there--several we met had been there nearly since the school opened--unheard of in charter schools, and persuasive evidence of the unique sustainability and scalability of the model.

I alluded to Student Life in an interview for 2 different things (one for a job, one for a student group at university) and I got into both! This is exciting because freshmen aren’t usually so special. Thought you should know that people are quite interested in Student Life!

I have been working for the SABIS® network in various positions for 9 years. I have appreciated the education provided by SABIS® to students not only as a member of the staff but also as a parent. As an educator I enjoy the challenges, I appreciate the philosophy of the company (education above profit), and I feel that I am a member of a big family who shares experiences and takes very careful steps in the direction of the benefit of the school community.

ISR Participates in Rhein Kreis Neuss Mathematics Competition

Two students from ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss (ISR) recently put their mathematics skills to the test by participating in the Rhein Kreis Neuss Mathematics Competition. Held since 1988, the Rhein Kreis Neuss Mathematics Competition is a locally-run mathematics competition within the Rhein-Neuss Region and is open to students in grades 4 through 13.  The competition challenges students to think logically and mathematically to solve a number of problems in various ways.

This year, approximately 200 students entered the first round, of which 68 students progressed into the second round. Of the two ISR students who participated in the competition, Nils Zhang, Grade 8, ultimately achieved third place among all Grade 8 students participating in the contest.

“We are very pleased to have Nils distinguished for his performance in this long-standing contest,” commented Eileen Lyons, ISR Director.  “Next year we are hoping to enter more ISR students and are looking forward to continued success.”

As a member of the SABIS® School Network, ISR implements a rigorous, college-preparatory mathematics program.  Through this program, ISR students acquire a solid understanding of mathematics, which plays an instrumental role in preparing students for success in college and beyond.
