Testimonials

It was a great visit. I hope you are terribly proud of that school. We saw the SABIS® educational system working on all cylinders... In the rooms we visited, across the grades, we saw consistently strong instruction delivered by able teachers who are deeply committed to the SABIS® methods, to the school, and to each other. We also saw perfect behavior throughout the day. We were amazed by the longevity of teachers there--several we met had been there nearly since the school opened--unheard of in charter schools, and persuasive evidence of the unique sustainability and scalability of the model.

I alluded to Student Life in an interview for 2 different things (one for a job, one for a student group at university) and I got into both! This is exciting because freshmen aren’t usually so special. Thought you should know that people are quite interested in Student Life!

I have been working for the SABIS® network in various positions for 9 years. I have appreciated the education provided by SABIS® to students not only as a member of the staff but also as a parent. As an educator I enjoy the challenges, I appreciate the philosophy of the company (education above profit), and I feel that I am a member of a big family who shares experiences and takes very careful steps in the direction of the benefit of the school community.

ISR Basketball Teams Hone Court Skills

ISR Basketball Teams Hone Court Skills

The boys’ basketball teams at ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss (ISR) have been recently making their mark in sports competitions.  One such competition is a ten team tournament in the Bavarian International School in Munich held at the end of March.

The ISR varsity boys’ basketball team, despite their short training season, played hard and showed a huge improvement in their individual abilities as well as their ability to play as a team. The highlight of the trip was being awarded a trophy for Sportsmanship, an award that was voted on by each team and coach during the tournament. This award was truly earned by the nine boys who make up the ISR team as they never gave up and showed a positive attitude through the entire tournament.

The ISR Under 14 boys’ basketball team showed similar determination and hard work when they participated in the 2009 GISST Basketball Tournament at the Bonn International School on March 19. The ISR U14 team played in four different games against the International School of Frankfurt, International School of Hannover, Bavarian International School, and the Berlin British International School.  Although they fell short on victories, team members fought valiantly in each of these games and improved their knowledge of the game along the way.

Students in ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss (ISR), as in all SABIS® member schools, are encouraged to refine their athletic abilities by taking part in a range of activities and competitive team sports. Involvement in all aspects of life at ISR helps students acquire the skills, attitudes, and attributes that give them an edge in college and beyond.
