It was a great visit. I hope you are terribly proud of that school. We saw the SABIS^® educational system working on all cylinders... In the rooms we visited, across the grades, we saw consistently strong instruction delivered by able teachers who are deeply committed to the SABIS® methods, to the school, and to each other. We also saw perfect behavior throughout the day. We were amazed by the longevity of teachers there--several we met had been there nearly since the school opened--unheard of in charter schools, and persuasive evidence of the unique sustainability and scalability of the model.

I alluded to Student Life in an interview for 2 different things (one for a job, one for a student group at university) and I got into both! This is exciting because freshmen aren’t usually so special. Thought you should know that people are quite interested in Student Life!

I have been working for the SABIS^® network in various positions for 9 years. I have appreciated the education provided by SABIS^® to students not only as a member of the staff but also as a parent. 	High Scores forSICS Students on the MCAS Test Students at the SABIS® International Charter School, Springfield were amongst charter school students who outperformed the district at almost every grade level on the 2004 Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) tests. 	Extracurricular Activities atSIS, South Phoenix SABIS® International School, South Phoenix, held its 2nd annual Fall Community Yard Sale on Saturday, October 16th. 	ICSS Hosts AR Pajama Party Over fifty students at the International Charter School of Schenectady, NY spent their friday night just over two weeks ago gathered in the school's gym. They were, however, not equipped with sports gear and tennis shoes, but with pajamas, pizzas, and piles of books. 	Peer Tutoring in Place atMSANO The SABIS® SLOTM began its peer tutoring program at the Milestone SABIS® Academy of New Oleans this 2004-2005 AY. Prefects are engaged in tutoring their peers each Monday through Thursday in grades three to eight and assistance is given in areas of English, math, and reading. 	ISR Student Sports Top Runners On Saturday, November 20th, 2004, ISR students participated in the 'Neusser Erftlauf', a locally-sponsored run for the city of Neuss. This tournament brought together students from different schools and over 758 runners participated in this event. ISR is very proud of their two groups of students who participated in this event.
